Conversation with Gottfried B\u00f6hm<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tang Jie traveled to Cologne to visit Gottfried B\u00f6hm<\/strong>, the 1986 Pritzker Prize laureate, and conducted a two-and-a-half-hour in-depth interview with him at his private residence and studio. The conversation covered a wide range of significant topics, including the development and legacy of the B\u00f6hm family\u2019s three generations of architects, the landscape and genealogy of contemporary German architecture, the evolution and continuity of the architectural school at the Technical University of Munich from his student days to the present, as well as the enduring influence and transmission of the Bauhaus in Germany and worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the conclusion of the interview, Gottfried B\u00f6hm<\/strong> personally presented Tang Jie with several monographs authored by himself and his wife, inscribed with his autograph as a keepsake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2021, architect Gottfried B\u00f6hm passed away at the age of 101. In his later years, he lived a quiet and reclusive life, rarely appearing in public. As one of the few Chinese architects who had the opportunity to meet him in person, Tang Jie not only gathered invaluable first-hand materials by recording B\u00f6hm\u2019s oral accounts of architectural history, but also conveyed greetings and blessings from the Chinese architectural community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u4e0e\u6208\u7279\u5f17\u91cc\u5fb7\u00b7\u6ce2\u59c6\u7684\u5bf9\u8bdd<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u5510\u6770\u524d\u5f80\u79d1\u9686\uff0c\u62dc\u8bbf\u4e86 1986 \u5e74\u666e\u5229\u5179\u514b\u5956\u5f97\u4e3b\u6208\u7279\u5f17\u91cc\u5fb7\u00b7\u6ce2\u59c6<\/strong>\uff0c\u5e76\u5728\u5176\u81ea\u5b85\u517c\u5de5\u4f5c\u5ba4\uff0c\u548c\u8fd9\u4f4d\u4f1f\u5927\u7684\u5efa\u7b51\u5e08\u8fdb\u884c\u4e86\u957f\u8fbe\u4e24\u4e2a\u534a\u5c0f\u65f6\u7684\u6df1\u5ea6\u8bbf\u8c08\u3002\u8c08\u8bdd\u5185\u5bb9\u6d89\u53ca\u591a\u4e2a\u91cd\u8981\u8bae\u9898\uff0c\u5305\u62ec\u6ce2\u59c6\u5bb6\u65cf\u4e09\u4ee3\u5efa\u7b51\u5e08\u7684\u53d1\u5c55\u4e0e\u4f20\u627f\u3001\u5fb7\u56fd\u5f53\u4ee3\u5efa\u7b51\u7684\u9762\u8c8c\u4e0e\u5efa\u7b51\u5e08\u7684\u8c31\u7cfb\u3001\u6155\u5c3c\u9ed1\u5de5\u4e1a\u5927\u5b66\u5efa\u7b51\u5b66\u6d3e\u5728\u5176\u6c42\u5b66\u65f6\u671f\u4e0e\u5f53\u4eca\u7684\u53d1\u5c55\u4e0e\u5ef6\u7eed\uff0c\u4ee5\u53ca\u5305\u8c6a\u65af\u5728\u5fb7\u56fd\u4e43\u81f3\u5168\u7403\u8303\u56f4\u5185\u7684\u5f71\u54cd\u548c\u4f20\u627f\u7b49\u8bf8\u591a\u73cd\u8d35\u8bdd\u9898\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u8bbf\u8c08\u7ed3\u675f\u65f6\uff0c\u6208\u7279\u5f17\u91cc\u5fb7\u00b7\u6ce2\u59c6<\/strong>\u4eb2\u81ea\u8d60\u4e88\u5510\u6770\u591a\u672c\u7531\u4ed6\u672c\u4eba\u64b0\u5199\u7684\u4e13\u8457\uff0c\u5e76\u4eb2\u7b14\u7b7e\u540d\u4ee5\u4f5c\u7559\u5ff5\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2021\u5e74\uff0c\u5efa\u7b51\u5e08\u6208\u7279\u5f17\u91cc\u5fb7\u00b7\u6ce2\u59c6\u4ee5101\u5c81\u9ad8\u9f84\u8f9e\u4e16\u3002\u5176\u665a\u5e74\u751f\u6d3b\u4f4e\u8c03\uff0c\u9c9c\u5c11\u516c\u5f00\u9732\u9762\u3002\u4f5c\u4e3a\u5c11\u6570\u5f97\u4ee5\u4e0e\u6ce2\u59c6\u9762\u5bf9\u9762\u4ea4\u6d41\u7684\u4e2d\u56fd\u5efa\u7b51\u5e08\u4e4b\u4e00\uff0c\u5510\u6770\u4e0d\u4ec5\u4eb2\u8eab\u79ef\u7d2f\u4e86\u5b9d\u8d35\u7684\u7b2c\u4e00\u624b\u8d44\u6599\uff0c\u8bb0\u5f55\u4e0b\u6ce2\u59c6\u53e3\u8ff0\u7684\u5efa\u7b51\u53f2\uff0c\u66f4\u4e3a\u4ed6\u5e26\u53bb\u4e86\u6765\u81ea\u4e2d\u56fd\u5efa\u7b51\u754c\u7684\u95ee\u5019\u4e0e\u795d\u798f\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gottfried B\u00f6hm (1920\u20132021)<\/strong>
A renowned German architect and the 1986 Pritzker Architecture Prize laureate, graduated from the Technical University of Munich<\/strong> (TUM) . He was celebrated for his sculptural architectural language and innovative use of materials, becoming one of the key figures in post-war German architecture. His works include churches, housing, and public buildings, with the Neviges Pilgrimage Church being one of his most iconic projects. The B\u00f6hm family represents three generations of architects and is often referred to as a \u201cGerman architectural dynasty.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
